We need to have a talk about my son. There is something about this little charismatic boy. I don't know what it is. He just.....has a way of making my day a little brighter. I guess that's why when I go to wake him up in the morning and am greeted by a pile of puke, it makes me worry. Of course, when that pile of puke happens to show up the morning of his birthday party that cannot possibly be rescheduled due to people coming and going out of town and this is the only opportunity to have all the neighbors together until the middle of July....well then it's not only worrysome, it's downright RUDE. How DARE that little pile of puke show up TODAY of all days?! Didn't it get the MEMO that it was NOT invited?? I mean, this is a pretty darn healthy kid, he doesn't get sick very often, but of course it had to be on a special day.
So after getting him and the carpet cleaned up, I went about setting up for the party. I had lots to do, and not much time. I had to move the party up a few hours on short notice to accomodate everyone's schedule. I had to run a few errands, and as I was nearing Pizza Hut to make an order, I hear a strange bubbling noise and Celeste say, "eeeeeeeew he threw up!!" then a few seconds later, "AAaH! He threw up AGAIN!!" thena few more seconds later, "AND AGAIN! EEW it's getting disgusting!" *sigh* And here I was hoping it was just something that didn't agree with him last night and he'd be all better. Apparently not. The good news is that after I got him all cleaned up again, I put him in his crib and he just took an early nap, and he was out of the way. The bad news was the HUGE mess in the car I had to clean right away before it set in. The only part of the mess I didn't clean up right away was the plastic part of the car seat, I hosed that off later (and scrubbed with dish soap). Anyways, That just meant I had a lot to do still, and even less time to do it in. I was in high stress mode by the time 11:40 came around and I had to go pick up the pizzas (which I called in to order since I never made it there). SO.....a neighbor boy came over to stay with Celsete and sleeping monster while I picked up the pizzas and I was onle a few minutes late! *phew!*
I think I forgot to photoshop all the kids who didn't saw "cheese". hehe! And I went to get monster, and Celeste insisted we all yell "SURPRISE!!". So my almost two year old had a surprise party. Because he really knows what that is. *wink* And what did the birthday boy get to eat at his party?? CRACKERS AND APPLESAUCE!!! OOH I'm such a NICE mommy!!
After lunch, it was time for presents!! Seriously, this kid scored tons of superhero stuff and cars!! His father would be sooo proud. When he opened his cammies, Mark proudly declared, "HE GOT CAMMIES! Now he can play with us!!" yaya...my son can now hang with the cool kids!!
Next was cake time! Sorry the cake is not the prettiest thing I've ever done, but I was REALLY REALLY low on time!! Also, the superman wasn't there origionally, I don't remember quite how it got there...I think Caleb was holding it.
Then....SURPRISE SARA!!!!!! It's Sara's birthday today, so we surprised her with BROWNIES!!
I found that I just couldn't NOT give the birthday boy some cake. He got a little slice, and didn't eat much of it, but at least he got some. I kind of feel sorry for the little guy, being a fourth of July baby. I mean...it's an AWESOME birthday, and summer birthdays really stink cause every one is out of town, but dang it, if you're going to have a summer birthday, you should have it on a super cool day. Unfortunately.......this kid is stuck with America stuff. I can't help it. His cake. it's a FLAG. Half his clothes are patriotic. This kid was born on America's birthday and America is going to stalk him for the rest of his life. America is going to have PARADES and FIREWORKS on his birthday, and not even mention it's his birthday too. America is going to blow out all his birthday candles on his sixteenth birthday. Poor poor boy. OK I'm over it.
After the party, Caleb went back down for a nap. And after cleaning up, I went down for a nap myself. Let's face it, I had a fairly tiring morning. When I got up, I showed monster how to use his new sweep and dustbin set. Let me explain why I got him these....he always tries to mop and sweep if there is a mop or broom around. He loves pretending to vacuume. and now....he loves his little sweep set. And so do I.
The rest of the day he wouldn't eat anything. I gave him bread with peanut butter, a banana, more saltines...he wanted nothing to do with any food. I did get him to drink a sippy of pedialyte though. Hopefully tomorrow he will be better.
Cheers!

By 'Adult' Do You Mean 'Complex and Sophisticated'?
Nothing much happened last week. But I did manage to take my kiddos to the beach. Fun times. I also managed to hit a bird with my car. Sorry, I dont have pictures of that.
And that is all.
And that is all.

Remember That Time I Threw a Cookie At Your Face?
I know, I know. It's been a few weeks. It's not as if anything interesting has happened.
.....or HAS it??
My little tiny baby girl, remember her?
Well...she graduated Kindergarten. True story.
In the background, you can see a lady in a green shirt with Caleb (in the stroller). That's my boss. "Shelley, WHY would you bring your boss to your daughter's last day of school party?!" BECAUSE her son had the SAME kindergarten teacher 16 years ago!! And they were friends cause she was a classroom mom. Crazy right?!
Anyways, yesterday the funniest thing happened. I finally fixed a stuffed brontosaurus for Caleb, and when I finished it, I showed him and ROARED at him. He ran away giggling, and came back a few seconds later with a stuffed giraffe and ROARED at me!! He is sooo silly, and I'm pretty impressed that he saw the dinosaur and instantly thought of his one toy that resembled it. He makes me laugh so much, and I love seeing how his brain works.
I know it's not much, but that's about all for now.
Cheers and Tally Ho!

Happy Times!
So last week was a 'short' week, with Memorial Day and all. The good news? A day off! The bad news? On Tuesday, I had to make up all that work, as well as all the things I was supposed to do Tuesday too. Thus.......uber long day that ended with a class at church.
Wednesday was Celeste's dance festival at school. Her school doesn't do any graduation ceremony (LAME!), but at least we got this little show. She was soooooo cute.
All the kids did such a great job dancing!!
Saturday, I was supposed to meet up with my friend Randy before he went out of town for a while, but it got a little postponed. The next thing I know, all the neighborhood kids were begging to go to the beach (even offering to clean my house!), and my friend Jeanette decided to go too. UNFORTUNATELY, by the time we went, the sun decided to hide behind the clouds and it got chilly. We still had a pretty fun time, though.
After dinner, i whipped up a dress for my darlin little daughter. It really only took about 30min, and it's not perfect, but it's my first little experiment.
That pretty much sums up this week.
Cheers and Tally Ho!
