On the Road Again...

\So there I was, trying not to have a nervous breakdown on the side of the road.

But I'll get to that.

The trip started out pretty well. I started having deja vu moments, thinking about how the last time I was on that road, I was with Greg, going up to visit his family for Thankgsgiving in 2005. The trip was somewhat uneventful, we sang tribute to Arizona songs during the small stretch of road in AZ, took about seven hours to get to Cedar City. The hotel we stayed at was pretty nice, even had a pool we swam in for a while.

The next day I was eager to get to Lehi to see my mom. While passing someone, they decided to merge into my lane right when I was just next to them. I swerved to the side to avoid a collision and found my car fishtailing, I hit a mile marker post, and ended up swerving across two lanes of traffic and facing backwards in the dirt. Scariest experience of my life, and one of the saddest. I've never been in a car accident, and to see my nice new car get hurt....sad. :( Granted, I am so glad no one was hurt, and the police claimed the other car responisble, and gave me their insurance (they stopped) info, but still sad.

Luckily, my mom was only about 40min away at this point. She got to where I was quickly, and 'rescued' me. The car is driveable, just has a broken hip. I switched the car seats so Celeste is on the driver side so she can crawl in, as the door is unusable.

Did I mention..........it was MONSTERS BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Yes, my little tiny baby boy turned TWO!!

He had so much fun with his Bobo, he is so man deprived. We stayed with Uncle Lincoln and Aunt Louie and their CHICKENS!! haha

Happy birthday Bubbies.

That night we got to see a lot of our Aunts and Uncles I haven't seen in years, then we sat on the front yard to watch fireworks. At first Monster was terrified and buried his face in my neck and grabed handfuls of my hair and shoved it in his ears. But then we gave him glowsticks and he started enjoying watching the fireworks.

The next day I was on the phone with insurance companies, but had fun playing picture scavanger hunt at the mall with family.

Then we went to the park and ALL twelve kids came and thus started the huge family reunion!!

The next day we went to a little farm animal zoo thing.

That evening we had THE family reunion. We feasted on chow mein, had a talent show, and enjoyed each others company.

We took a trip to Cabela's...

The last night we were there we went to the after party at my cousin Mandy's house. It involved hot dogs and minute to win it games and a fire pit.

After two days of traveling (traffic is SO BAD after a holiday) and a casino/hotel outside of Vegas, we are HOME, and home is sooo wonderful. 73 degree weather that smells like ocean...cant beat it,

Cheers and tally ho!
