Your Wish is My Command

So. How 'bout that week, eh? We cam home from Disney, tired and needing sleep desperately, but overall in a great mood. Unfortunately, the next morning I woke up throwing up. It lasted almost the whole morning,  but no one else in my family was sick. Celeste started school again, and even answered a question; "who knows what a big letter is called?" Celeste raised her hand and was called and and said, "UPPERCASE!" some kids laughed (cause they thought it was a funny word) but the teacher said, "stop laughing, Celeste is right!" and her teacher was sooo proud of her. According to Celeste.

Thursday I was minding my own business, making a hat for a little neighbor girl, and BAM! The power went out. Hm. A few min go by and I decided to see if mine was the only one out. I soon discovered that not only were my neighbors without power, but so was everyone else on base. THEN we discovered that ALL of San Diego, parts of Mexico, and Yuma were out of power too!! I heard on the radio that even parts of Las Vegas were out, but I don't know if that's true. The part that made me most uncomfortable was the fact that NO ONE knew what was going on, or WHY the power went out. For a few hours, there were several stories going around involving different power plants, different states, terrorists, aliens...haha. (oK, I started that last one.) The power ended up coming back on around 2:30am, so luckily I didn't lose any food (fridge). School was cancelled the next day, so Celeste spent the ENTIRE day outside playing with her friends.

Have I mentioned I started training for a half marathon? I'm going to be doing the rock & roll half marathon in Vegas Dec 4th. WEEEE!! :) I got new running shoes from Vibram....you know, those toe shoes? Only mine are more normal looking, no toes. After walking Celeste to school and back in them this past week, I finally went running in them yesterday. My shins are a little sore, but that's it.

Latly, I finished Celeste's pirate costume....FINALLY. Here are a few pics I went out and took.

.....and then she just wanted to make silly faces.

And of course....my FAVORITE....

OK! Have a nice day!! haha

My Name is Ham

I can't believe this weekend. Did that REALLY just happen?!

It's labor day weekend, and while I hope everyone had a fun safe holiday, I gotta think that no one had quite as much fun as my family.....UNLESS their family they haven't seen in a long time showed up on their doorstep saying, "SURPRISE!!! We're taking you and your family to DISNEYLAND this weekend!!" True story.

There is really no way to describe the awesomeness of this weekend. Between FINALLY showing my house to my family, spending time with them, and having a great time at the happiest place on Earth....well there's really just too much to say. Here are some highlights:
*Jami feeding Caleb ice cream
*nieces sliding down the hill with *gasp* boys
*waiting till we're standing outside disney to tell Celeste where we are
*spending the day watching Jami take Celeste on rides
*seeing Dane for the first time since dad died....he met Caleb for the first time
*eating Lissas food
*telling everyone in the hot tub about how Lissa and I used to dance at Disney, and all the costumes we did or didn't wear (HAHAHAHA)
*Meeting all the Disney Princesses
*getting to go on all the big kid rides with David and Amber and Jade (who cried every single one but still went on them like a champ)
*shopping
*TAKING CELESTE ON SPACE MOUNTAIN and she wanted to go again
*fireworks
*TIME WITH FAMILY!!!

Aaaaaaand it was all made possible by Jami. THANK YOU JAMI!!!
