Hompiny Bomminy Boo

Wow I really need to get Greg's laptop working again, cause it's too much of a pain to have to open up my desk and get the stool out and blah blah blah, which is why I don't write as often as I would like to.

Updates?
CELESTE:
One afternoon she was outside with a friend riding their bikes in my driveway. A group of older girls, about 8-10 stopped and started talking to Celeste and her friend. Before long, the older girls were yelling 'STUPID' at each other and smacking their faces around. The little girls thought it was hilarious and even one of the little ones started chiming in. I went out and asked the girls if they thought it was appropriate to be teaching little kids that kind of stuff, and they left after passing blame to someone else. I took Celeste inside to explain to her that we don't use those mean words even if others do. Her response? "I know mommy, I didn't say that mean word, I didn't call the stupid. I tried to teach them to say good things." She got about 3 different desserts that night, and the next morning daddy gave her donuts too.

CALEB:
This little boy is soooo funny and I swear I can see him growing EVERY DAY!! He has FOUR teeth now! He really likes to click his tongue!! It's sooooooo cute!!
Daddy gives him hair cuts...it's his bonding time.

Today he was practising standing by himself...and he took a teeny tiny little step!! I'm so proud and so sad (cause he's growing up so fast)...I miss those snuggling days.

GREG AND I:
I started doing Insanity (cardio based workout) but after the first week, I had to see a doctor about my foot...I injured it. All those months of running and working out, and Insanity all with two year old shoes took a toll on my FLAT FLAT feet. It was ALMOST a stress fracture (dr saw thickening around my third toe, indicating the bone trying to heal itself from something), and I'm glad it WASN'T cause I got a BOOT (UUG!!) and only have to wear it FOUR weeks instead of SIX or MORE and I don't have to do follow up appointments!! I DO have to get measured for orthodics though (boo) so hopefully they'll help. In the meantime, I decided to do P90X for REALS this time. :) That's right...the first time I tried, I was worring about breastfeeding and used weightes that I could do 20+reps with and still not max out....THIS TIME, I'm choosing weights that I completely max out/fail at 12, no more than 14....and it makes a HUGE HUGE difference!!! "But Shelley, you have a bum foot and dr said no working out..." Noooo...dr said no LOAD BEARING exercising!! I can lift weights all I want, and I can even do the yoga because it's still pretty gentle on the toes. The only thing I'm avoiding is the plymetrics (jump training) and ONLY for the first round (coincidentally four weeks long). I'll sub the light cardio work out and modify things like the jumping jacks. Then after the full program, I'll try insanity again. Then I'll do P90X again. Then Insanity. Until I'm either 78 years old, pregnant, or at my goal weight/size.

As for Greg, he's been up to...a lot. He works on his car with the neighbor, but lately since the neighbor hurt his shoulder, Greg's been painting ammo cans for Caleb's side of the room (you'll see later!), and going to see old friends. He also PTs on a regular basis and is going to be doing a mud run in a few weeks. He also got a 298 PFT for any Marines reading this.

OUR WEEKEND:
We were going to go to PHX for the weekend to see family, but turns out family came to us!! We got to welcome the Ivanov family AKA Baba (grandma), Diado (grandpa), and Aunt Nanny to our new home! We played around, Caleb and Celeste completely loooooooved them..

After getting Julie Ann completely hooked on Scentsy (look it up, it's that awesome), we went to the beach and watched the sun set while eating dinner and using a new cabana not in use.

It was sooo awesome to have them over, and to spend time with them..especially because we haven't seen them in a very long time.

The rest of the time, we had fun with our neighbors.

And that's about it!!
