Sooo. Hi there. Haven't seen ya in a while. A good LOONG while. It's been a few months, yes? Well, to be honest, I don't even REMEMBER much of June. Huh. I remember Fathers Day...we went out for pancakes and then to the beach with friends. Also Greg ran a 5K mud run (YAY for him!!) as Lt Jim Dangle. If you don't know who that is....don't look it up. He was also the first person wearing a costume to finish the race. Nice. So there I was at the finish line with Celeste watching the first few people drag themselves through the end, and Celest starts going berserk, "MOM ITS DADDY!! LOOK ITS DADDY!!!!! YAY DADDY!!!!" and then I see him.....and say "yea there he is" hoping the people next to us wouldnt think the crazy guy in the costume belongs to us. Then he has the nerve to hear his little girl, turn his head, and WAVE at us!! I think I died a little inside. HAHA JK!! I mean, the whole thing is true, but only about halfway on my feelings.
Other than that..I haven't been able to solidly complete any of the rooms upstairs. We've been busy throwing a party for the baby. AAG. My son is ONE YEAR OLD now. So there were gonna be tons of kids showing up, so we got a nice bouncy house. Unfortunately, one family with six kids couldn't come at the last minute, and others tried, but after sitting in HOURS of traffic decided to just give up. Not kidding on that traffic part. Why? cause it was the saturday before the 4th of July. EVERYONE was going somewhere. Boo. Well, we had a great time with some neighbor kids anyways.
After opening those wonderful PRESENTS, It was time for CAKE!!
Happy birthday to you...
Happy birthday to yooooou..
Happy biiiirthday dear CALEB WALEB WALEB....
Happy birthday to you!!
....and many mooore...
...on channel four...
...and Scooby dooo...
...on channel two.....or whatever!!
So after the party, we socialized with the new neighbors and cleaned up and called it a day. the 4th was fairly fun too! Greg had to work (thats why we had the party early), so the kids and I hung out with Jeanette.
"'sup, I'm Caleb. I'm just gonna...whoops, don't mind my hand.."
Then he became hot tub baby.
Then my girl decided to go down the slippy slide hill.
And play in the pool.
And of course, they had to have awesome 4th of July outfits.
That night we watched the fireworks from the park, while someone had patriotic music (that somehow included Katy Perry's Firework) while Caleb watched with his head on my shoulder. I didn't want to stop snuggling my birthday boy so I took him down to the couch where he slept on me some more. It makes me sad that I know he won't do this for much longer...my baby birthday boy.
Anyways..Greg wants the computer, I need to make dinner, and I don't want to have to sift through over 200 pictures of our trip to Oregon. So I'll give you a preview:
On the plane rides there:
Caleb threw a HUGE fit
We had to RUN 2 terminals to make the connecting flight and made it literally 2min before they closed the gate
Celeste lost the ipod
Celeste left her stuffed animal in the baggage claim area
Caleb had a blow out diaper and no change of clothes
We got there at 9:30p and it was just barely twilight out.
We found the ipod.
Fun times ahead...stay tuned.
